Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms govern your use of the EyePTV IPTV service operated by EyePTV Live. By subscribing you agree to them. Section 3 says what happens when the service is down, in terms we can actually be held to.

Short answer

What do EyePTV's terms actually commit to?

The terms commit EyePTV to four concrete things: a lineup that can change only with notice and a prorated refund where a change materially reduces the service, simultaneous streams equal to the device tier you bought with unlimited registered devices, service credits of 10% of the month when an outage on our side runs past four hours and 30% past twenty-four, and card or PayPal billing that stays disputable because cryptocurrency is not accepted. No uptime percentage is published, deliberately — none is independently audited.

1. The service

EyePTV provides access to live television channels and video-on-demand content that EyePTV Live is licensed to distribute to viewers in the United States. Access is provided on a subscription basis for the term you purchase.

Channel lineups may change when licensing agreements change. Where a change materially reduces the service, we will notify affected subscribers by email and, at your option, prorate or refund the remainder of your term.

2. Accounts and stream limits

You may register an unlimited number of devices to your account. Your plan limits how many of those devices may stream at the same time: the device tier you purchase — 1, 2, 3 or 4 devices, on any term — is the number of simultaneous streams. The limit applies to concurrent playback only, never to how many devices hold the app.

Accounts are for use by one household. Sharing credentials outside your household breaches these terms and may result in suspension without refund. We identify this through concurrent-stream patterns rather than by inspecting what you watch.

3. Outages and service credits

We aim to keep the streaming service continuously available, and we announce scheduled maintenance at least 48 hours in advance. We do not publish a percentage uptime figure. A number like that is only meaningful if it is independently measured and audited, and ours is not — so quoting one would be marketing dressed as a contract.

What we commit to instead is concrete: if an outage on our side stops you watching for more than four hours in a calendar month, email support and we will credit 10% of that month's subscription value. Beyond twenty-four hours in a month, the credit is 30%. We do not require you to prove the outage — our own logs settle it — and credits apply to the subscription itself, not to any third-party service or hardware.

Availability excludes failures caused by your internet connection, your local network, your device, or events outside our reasonable control.

4. Billing and renewal

Subscriptions bill in advance for the term purchased and renew automatically at the same term length unless canceled. Prices in effect at renewal apply; we will notify you by email at least 14 days before any price increase affects your renewal.

We accept payment by card and PayPal. We do not accept cryptocurrency, deliberately, so that you retain the ability to dispute a charge.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the term already paid for. There is no cancellation fee.

New subscribers are additionally covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee described in our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You may not redistribute, rebroadcast, publicly perform, record for redistribution, or resell any content accessed through the service. You may not circumvent geographic or blackout restrictions, which exist because they are written into the licensing agreements we operate under.

You may not share account credentials outside your household, use automated tools to extract stream URLs, or attempt to interfere with the service's operation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel with a prorated refund if you do not accept it.
