FAQ

IPTV questions, answered directly

19 questions covering legality, pricing, devices, performance and refunds. Each answer is written to stand on its own, so you can read only the one you came for.

What is EyePTV?

EyePTV is a licensed IPTV service that streams live TV channels over your internet connection to the devices you already own — smart TVs, streaming sticks, phones, tablets, and computers. Every plan includes a full program guide (EPG), catch-up for recently aired shows, and 24/7 support. There's no cable box, no installer visit, and no long-term contract.

Is EyePTV legal?

Yes. IPTV itself is simply a delivery technology — television over internet protocol — and it's legal to use, the same way streaming any licensed app is. EyePTV is a licensed service and holds distribution rights for the channels in its lineup. You can read more about how our content licensing works on the licensing page.

How much does EyePTV cost?

Plans run $19.99 for 1 month, $29.99 for 3 months, $39.99 for 6 months, and $59.99 for 12 months — and the 12-month plan includes 2 bonus months, which works out to about $4.29 per month versus $19.99 month-to-month. Adding simultaneous streams is discounted too: 20% off for 2 devices, 25% for 3, and 30% for 4. The cost calculator can show your exact price for any plan and device combination.

Does EyePTV have a free trial?

There's no open free trial — instead, every first purchase is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee, which works as your test window. Subscribe, put the service through its paces on your own devices during your normal viewing hours, and if it's not right for you, request a refund within 7 days. It's a fairer test than a throttled trial account, because you're evaluating the same service paying customers get.

What devices does EyePTV work on?

EyePTV has native apps for Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV, Apple TV (tvOS), iOS, Android, Samsung Tizen, and LG webOS, plus a web player for any modern browser. MAG and Formuler boxes connect through their built-in portal, and standard M3U playlists are supported for third-party players. Roku is the one exception — Roku doesn't allow sideloaded channels, so it works via screen mirroring instead. You can register unlimited devices on your account.

How many devices can I watch on at once?

Your plan's device count is the number of simultaneous streams you can run — from 1 up to 4. You can register unlimited devices on the account; the limit only applies to how many are playing at the same time. Multi-device plans are discounted: 20% off for 2 streams, 25% for 3, and 30% for 4.

What channels does EyePTV include?

The lineup spans live sports, national and international news, entertainment, movies, kids and family programming, lifestyle networks, Spanish-language channels, and local broadcast affiliates. Streams are delivered in 4K where the source broadcast is 4K. The full, current lineup is on the channels page, so you can confirm your must-haves are there before you subscribe.

Does EyePTV work on Firestick?

Yes — the EyePTV for Fire TV app runs on every current Fire TV Stick, including the Lite, 4K, and 4K Max. Installation takes a few minutes using the free Downloader app and our install address, and the Firestick guide walks through it step by step. Older sticks work fine but are capped at 1080p output by the hardware.

Does EyePTV work on Roku?

Yes, with one caveat: Roku doesn't permit sideloaded channels, so there's no native EyePTV app in the Roku store. Instead you watch through screen mirroring — play EyePTV on your phone, tablet, or computer and cast it to the Roku. It works, but if IPTV is your main use case, a Fire TV Stick or Android TV box will give you a smoother experience with a dedicated app.

Does EyePTV work on Samsung and LG smart TVs?

Yes — EyePTV has native apps for Samsung Tizen and LG webOS, so most Samsung and LG smart TVs from recent years run EyePTV with no extra hardware. Install the app from your TV's app store, then link it to your account with a short pairing code at eyeptv.live/pair. For other smart TV brands running Android TV or Google TV, use the EyePTV for Android TV app.

What internet speed do I need for EyePTV?

Plan on about 10 Mbps of steady bandwidth per 1080p stream and about 25 Mbps per 4K stream. Most home connections clear that easily; what matters more is consistency — a wired Ethernet connection or a strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal beats raw speed on a congested network. If streams stall even though your speed test looks fine, the channels-not-loading guide covers the usual causes.

Does EyePTV include PPV events?

Yes — PPV is included on every plan at no extra charge, from the 1-month plan up. That covers major boxing and MMA cards and other pay-per-view events carried in the lineup, without the per-event fees cable and satellite providers charge. Check the channels page to see the PPV and event channels currently offered.

Can I cancel EyePTV or get a refund?

You can cancel anytime — plans are prepaid for their term, so canceling simply stops the next renewal. On top of that, your first purchase is protected by a 7-day money-back guarantee: if EyePTV isn't a fit within the first week, contact support and we'll refund it. The full terms are on the refund policy page.

Do I need a VPN to use EyePTV?

No. EyePTV is a licensed service, so there's nothing to hide your traffic from — it works on any normal home connection without a VPN. If you already use a VPN for privacy, that's fine too; just pick a nearby server, since routing video through a distant one can add buffering.

Why is my audio out of sync on EyePTV?

Audio drift is almost always a device-side decoding issue rather than a stream problem — common culprits are a TV or soundbar's audio passthrough settings, hardware decoding quirks in the player app, or a stream that's been paused and buffered for a long stretch. Restarting the channel usually snaps it back instantly. The audio sync guide walks through permanent fixes for each platform.

Why are my channels not loading?

Nine times out of ten it's one of four things: a device that needs a restart, a stale app cache, Wi-Fi congestion, or an expired session that a quick re-login fixes. EyePTV publishes a 99.99% uptime SLA, so a widespread outage is rare — if one channel fails but others play, the issue is usually local to your setup. The troubleshooting guide takes you through the checks in order, fastest first.

How fast is activation after I pay?

Activation is automatic and typically takes just a few minutes — your login details arrive by email as soon as the payment is confirmed. From there you can be watching in under ten minutes on most devices. If anything holds up your activation, 24/7 support at support@eyeptv.live can sort it out right away.

What payment methods does EyePTV accept?

The available payment options are shown at checkout, and they can vary by region. As a rule of thumb for the whole IPTV category — not just us — favoring reversible payment methods is a good sign: a service confident enough to accept payments the buyer can dispute is signaling it expects to keep its customers. Pair that with EyePTV's 7-day money-back guarantee and your first purchase carries very little risk.

What's the best app for watching EyePTV?

The native EyePTV apps are the best starting point — they're tuned for our streams and include the EPG and catch-up out of the box. If you prefer a third-party player, EyePTV supports standard M3U playlists, so it works with the well-known IPTV player apps too. Our player apps guide compares the popular options and explains when a third-party player is worth the switch.

Still stuck?

Support answers on live chat 24/7, and pre-sales questions get the same queue as customer questions — which is itself a fair test of how an outage would go.
